After breakfast we hiked to Cathedral Cove which was a beautiful hike along the water and through some lovely little coves. The views were spectacular and we got some great pictures of all the flowers and foliage.
Back at camp we lunched on pumpkin soup and cheese and crackers before heading back to Hot Water Beach for low tide. We arrived to find the quiet little beach we visited the day before very crowded with the key digging spots pretty picked over. Hot Water Beach at low tide is a hot tubbers paradise. Basically, you walk along the surf and look for bubbles coming up from under the sand and then you dig yourself a little tub of hot water, which was was surprisingly...hot!! It was funny to see people walking along and suddenly jumping up and down from the scalding water. We didn't have a shovel so we settled on burying our feet. This was enough to make Jeremy think the water was warm enough to jump in and body surf without a wetsuit. There were several surfers in the water in full wetsuits. I'm sure they thought he was nuts.
We explored Cook's Cove for awhile and then went back to the camper van for homemade curry and more Scrabble.
