Wedding Bands

Today we picked up our wedding bands.

I wanted something to go with my engagement ring because I love the look of stacked rings,  but the jeweler was adamant that I get something separate so as to not damage the engravings on my engagement ring. He finally relented when I agreed to have the rings soldered together after the wedding.

For my Mother and Father's 25th wedding anniversary my Dad gave my Mom an anniversary band with 25 diamonds. My Mother is not a ring person at all and the ring has sat in a drawer since they separated in the late 80's. She offered up the diamonds as long as I would take the unused ones and have a pendant made for her. 24 Karats made a beautiful Platinum band with engravings to match my engagement ring . Seven diamonds (one for each of the years we've been together and a seventh for our new year)  will curve around my engagement ring. We picked it up on August 4th--coincidentally the wedding anniversary of both my parents and my grandparents.

Jeremy decided on a beautiful brushed Palladium band--instead of Platinum.

I love that when I finally put the rings together I will have something from the Yoches side and something from the Watson side...and a nice family heirloom.
