One year to day that Jeremy proposed I tried on my wedding dress for the first time. I hadn't planned it that way, but when Mon Amie called for the dress fitting that date sounded good. It was only after I got off the phone with them that I realized the significance of the date. :)
I flew down to Costa Mesa with Jeremy and my Mom for the weekend. We stayed with Jeremy's parents and had an errand filled weekend. Seeing and trying on "the Dress" for the first time since January was the highlight. It's even more beautiful than I remember. Beyond the basic take-it-in alterations I added some cap sleeves for a more old-fashioned, vintagey feel. I go back in two weeks for my final fitting.
I got my jewelry, bought fabric for the girls' wraps, found material for the ring bearer pillows that Jeremy's mom is making, bought flower girl shoes, more copper pots for center pieces, and most importantly...found the Mom's their dresses and got them head-to-toe accessorized.
