We went to San Francisco Perinatal Associates today for our genetic counseling and CVS test. I've been anxiously awaiting this test because it will tell us affirmatively that all is well with our little one as well as the baby's sex. After genetic counseling we went in for our ultrasound. The ultrasound was amazing! Baby was so cute; peacefully sleeping at first and then doing some cute little kicks and movements. We got some great photos and even some video! We also got to hear the heartbeat. I immediately started crying. It's an emotional thing to hear your little one's heartbeat for the first time. 
Unfortunately, the doctor said that the position of my uterus would not allow us safe entry to the placenta so we needed to wait a week in hopes that my uterus would flip. We'll try again in a week and a half. This is such a bummer because there is already a 7 to 10 day waiting period to get the test results so now we have more waiting. :(
