Prenatal Visit: Almost 34 weeks

I think there was some snafu when I made this appointment. I must have had pregnancy brain because really I was supposed to wait another 2 weeks. Oh well. I always enjoy a visit with my baby. And chatting with the midwife was good too.

My fundal measurement came in at a whopping 35. I've definitely felt a big difference this week. Baby is huge and cramped and is no longer violently kicking and shaking my world. Instead, he's rolling over...which is really not that much fun. Not only does it look like I have an alien in my stomach but he has a real knack for stretching out into my upper right rib cage. What is it with my right rib cage with both boys?! I didn't gain any more weight--so still holding steady at 19 pounds. I'm thinking I shall celebrate this afternoon with a big bowl of ice cream with Magic Shell!!

Baby boy is still breach. If I wasn't already planning on a c-section we'd start actively trying to turn him. The process sounds terrible and usually after the uncomfortable procedure the little muffin rolls right back to his preferred breach lounging. So, perhaps the c-section is all fate anyway. I like how babies start asserting their bossiness and determination so very early on.

Now that we've had a break in summer activities I've started actively nesting. My list is still long...perhaps unrealistically long but I'm gonna give it a go. I NEED the house to be clean and organized before October 25th. This is no easy feat given we only have  2 free weekends between now and then and I have a full time job and an almost 3 year old who is obsessed with Mama right now.

My next visit is on Tuesday, the 28th. We'll do the Strep B test then and I think I'll start my "old lady" testing weekly at that point.
