For whatever reason my Aunt Sheila's birthday has proven to be a day of luck for me. On her birthday in 2006 I got a 30k+ raise. On her birthday in 2007 we got our keys to our new house. And today, on February 20, 2010, we found out that we are expecting baby number 2!
Obviously, it wasn't a complete surprise since we had decided it was time for Noah to have a sibling, but it is always shocking to see the results on a pregnancy test. I woke up this morning, realized I was late and took the test. My in-laws were here for the weekend to celebrate Josh's 30th birthday so I was discreet. I completed the test quietly in the bathroom and then sat in the bedroom awaiting the results before calling Jeremy (and Noah) upstairs. Noah looked confused as Jeremy and I hugged each other.
We asked Noah if he wanted a baby brother or a baby sister. He said, "baby sister". We'll see, kid.
Keeping a secret wasn't in the cards since the Grandparents were here so we told them our good news with the caveat that it was REALLY early. And now, we wait...
